Homeland Security/Multiple Jurisdiction Trespass Affidavit

Link to the following for an updated version of our No Trespassing Affidavit, which has been revised to meet our Homeland Security needs. This affidavit must be signed, notarized, and delivered to the First Precinct as soon as is convenient for you.  You can also scan and send this affidavit by email to Lynn Hedblum Lynn.Hedblum@ci.minneapolis.mn.us .

http://www.ci.minneapolis.mn.us/police/first/docs/MultipleJurisTrespassAffidav.doc

We require this updated affidavit in order to facilitate our plans for security during the RNC.  Several other law enforcement departments will be sending officers to Minneapolis and St. Paul to assist in keeping order and the previous affidavit would only allow for Minneapolis officers to trespass those committing crimes or bevahing in a manner considered a non-conforming use for public or private properties.

Reminder:  If you have any events related to the RNC, or events unrelated to RNC but of such a nature that there is a security concern that you want us to know about, contact Sgt. Nelson at 673-2959, or email edward.nelson@ci.minneapolis.mn.us.

RNC DRILL!

Many of you have received our most recent eCanvas Supplement bulletin which includes a request for further information regarding the event described in the bulletin.  We hope you will take these requests as a great opportunity to check your policies & procedures, especially as it relates to monitoring suspicious activity, maintaining working camera systems, and follow-up on filing security reports with our investigators and community attorney.  If everyone takes each eCanvas report as the prompt to put your team through the paces, everyone should be up-to-snuff in responding to any turn of events during the Convention.  If you have any questions about eCanvas, email me directly .luther.krueger@ci.minneapolis.mn.us
