Help Keep Downtown Safe

There are some simple things that you can do to help keep downtown safe.

  1. Be vigilant of your surroundings.
  2. 911 is for more than just emergencies. If you are witnessing
suspicious activity or feel uncomfortable and unsafe, do not hesitate to
    dial.
  3. Have a charged cell phone handy.
  4. Program your building's security phone number in your cell phone.
Downtown police work in collaboration with building security officers to
    ensure your safety.
  5. We would all like to help. Instead of giving money to panhandlers,
donate to non-profit organizations that assist people in need.

Please join us on improving our community by:

  • Joining the Downtown Minneapolis Neighborhood Association
  • Writing a Community Impact Statement
  • Volunteering with Restorative Justice Community Action

For more information on any of the above, please click on the "contact us" button on the left.
