There are some simple things that you can do to help keep downtown safe.
- Be vigilant of your surroundings.

- 911 is for more than just emergencies. If you are witnessing
suspicious activity or feel uncomfortable and unsafe, do not hesitate to
dial.
- Have a charged cell phone handy.
- Program your building's security phone number in your cell phone.
Downtown police work in collaboration with building security officers to
ensure your safety.
- We would all like to help. Instead of giving money to panhandlers,
donate to non-profit organizations that assist people in need.
Please join us on improving our community by:
- Joining the Downtown Minneapolis Neighborhood Association
- Writing a Community Impact Statement
- Volunteering with Restorative Justice Community Action
